ALPHA VIDEO is a provider of vintage programming that's often unavailable elsewhere. Alpha's prices are fair, but so is transfer quality of some of their offerings. None have undergone restoration, yet this product's rareness and reasonable cost make it a worthwhile purchase.

SYNOPSES for CRAZY CAR COMEDIES--

In Hal Roach's "Don't Park There!" Will Rogers is sent to buy liniment for his battleax wife (Mosquini). This errand becomes an ordeal when Will is unable to find anywhere to leave the car. Scripted by Tay(lor) Garrett. He later directed such classics as the Garfield/Turner noir THE POSTMAN ALWAYS RINGS TWICE (1946) and Bing Crosby's family musical, A CONNECTICUT YANKEE IN KING ARTHUR'S COURT (1949).

Unwatchable picture, don't buy it!
The sound hisses all the time, the picture is unwatchable, this DVD was transferred from a very bad film copy or even some crap VHS.

lots of silly fun
Sometimes you don't want some serious melodramatic gripping suspenseful heart wrenching tear jerking fare...you just want a some light silly fun. This should fit the bill. My only disappointment was it was only 60 minutes total for the four films. You get three films. It says four but the fourth is pretty short...don't get up for a snack or you might miss it. Once again I had no problem loading this on my $10 dvd player. I've been able to load every one from this company so far (Alpha). Music is fitting and not a distraction. Films are probably in original condition, but remember sometimes only a single copy of a given silent film exists.. but the quality of the films was Not a distraction.
